St George’s Chapel
15 minute walk from the Royal Adelaide Hotel
St George’s Chapel was built in the late-medieval Perpendicular Gothic style and is located in the Lower Ward of Windsor Castle. The chapel was originally founded in the 14th century by King Edward III and has been the scene of many royal services, weddings and, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries, burials. With stunning interior and exterior views, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Now the resting place of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, it is regarded as one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in England.
